ordering for the holidays!

since time is of the essence in regards to getting our holiday wish lists together (HOW IS IT ALREADY MID NOVEMBER?!?!?) I decided what the heck and reused my shipping deadline outline from last year. less headache for me + quicker information to you all, my dear reader(s) = everyone stays happy.

I did update the order/ship dates since we have been working hard (read: my digitizer is amazing!) to get our turnaround times under a month so that pretty wrapped oatmeal lace gifts can be found under the tree...  :):):)
these dates are all based on PRIORITY MAIL shipping, so if you are willing to pay for express you have a couple days leeway on ordering. just a thought to keep in mind! you can click HERE to start shopping. happy holidays everyone!

ps- any questions for me or if you have a logo you'd like to get quoted, email me at hello@oatmeallace.com.

family halloween.

we really like halloween around here, and have enjoyed our family costumes since beck made his appearance back in 2011. now that he's a bit older he gets to decide the theme for the family, and this year it's star wars (you're so original, buddy!)

he wanted a 'dark vadar' themed birthday when he turned 4 this year, so he got his costume back in august as a present from nanny & papa. :)

i've been sourcing costume pieces for the rest of us and am almost done assembling everything so that we are ready to go next week. today I finished emerson's costume and I'm pretty proud of it. what could be cuter than a baby chewbacca??? NOTHING I tell you. haha.

hopefully everyone will cooperate and we'll get a good family photo on halloween. you never know these days!!!! #herdingcats

maternity leave & shop status

after having Beckett I took a couple of weeks 'off' and then slowly started working again, making clutches while he would sleep. turns out newborns sleep A LOT - just not always at the times you want them to. HA!

this time around I have a rambunctious almost four year old to wrangle, I'll be recovering from a c-section and in all honesty, I'm pretty nervous/anxious about how the transition from one to two is going to go. with that being said, I'm going to give myself a bit more time to ease back into work and enjoy the fleeting newborn days and the hopefully smooth introduction of big brother and baby sister.

SO, on to the information you all want to know…turnaround/response times for orders placed over the next 6 weeks. first of all, I will be answering emails while out on leave. it may take me a bit longer
than normal to get back with you, but I'll respond, promise!

: APRONS :

turnaround will be close to 8 weeks from order date to shipment date.  if you would like a quote for your logo, my digitizer will be on point, so please email a large jpg/png file to hello@oatmeallace.com with 'LOGO QUOTE' in your email subject line. we will get back to you within one business week with a quote. once that is approved and the order is placed, the 8 week period starts. we will not be taking rush orders at this time.

if you need some inspiration for aprons or just want to check out some of the fabulous clients I've had the privilege of working with so far, check out my apron portfolio HERE.

: CLUTCHES :

you will still be able to purchase clutches in the SHOP.  any orders placed starting today through august 20, 2015 will start shipping SEPTEMBER 1, 2015.  please indicate your wedding/event/need by date when you place your order.

 : BOUQUET WRAPS :

I'm so thankful for Shari, my wonderful assistant. she makes sure you all have perfectly embroidered aprons and bouquet wraps, and will be taking care of all the ribbon orders during this time.
turnaround will be ONE MONTH from order to ship date on the ribbons.  please place your order through my shop HERE. if you have any questions send us an email and we will respond as quickly as we can.

wanting a custom ribbon color? you can check out the offerings HERE.

last minute valentines.

this is the first year beck has been in a class for valentines day with more than 4 kids (this year there are 24!!!). I asked beck what we should do for his friends and he said that we should give everyone 'lots and lots of candy.' um, good idea, son. let's try again. I (being the procrastinator that I am) waited until this week to get my act together, so I did a quick search on pinterest to see what was:
a. easy,
b. inexpensive, and
c. didn't require a lot of crafty skills.
stumbled across this idea on Delia Creates who originally adapted the design from Craftiness is not Optional. simple, cute, no candy involved AND what three year old doesn't love glow sticks?!
between the target dollar bin (15 glowsticks for $1) and office depot printing these for me on cardstock I was only out $5. score! if you use the paper cutter at office depot, or are crafty enough to have one at home, the only other tool you need is a hole punch so that you can thread the glowstick through the card.
delia creates has a black and white printable HERE that you can use and I included one HERE in case you wanted the little pop of color in the heart. happy last minute valentine crafting, folks!
ps- i've got a happy three year old on my hands who is really glad there were some extras. :)

holiday shipping deadlines!

if you're like all the big box stores, many of my friends or just really on top of your game, you're starting to get ready for the upcoming holidays. I'm a procrastinator by nature, so I don't usually start buying gifts until december rolls around, whoops. BUT since my shop revolves around custom pieces, and not ready to ship items, I have to give you guys timelines for when you need to place your order so that you will actually receive it for the holidays. my apologies...
I've put together this little sheet above that outlines when you need to have your order placed and when you can expect shipment.  if you're planning on buying bags, you still have a little time, but if you wanted to order an apron for yourself or a friend you need to get moving! to get a headstart and determine if an apron is the right gift, go ahead and email me over the logo that you want embroidered (hello@oatmeallace.com).  that way I can get you a quote before the deadline to order comes up.  you can check out my apron PORTFOLIO for ideas too.
feel free to email with any other questions you have and happy shopping!

ps- I plan to offer a discount code for those of you who purchase BEFORE these cutoff dates, so you might want to sign up for my newsletter if you haven't already.

weekend fun.

we were in tallahassee this past weekend visiting family and attending our one football game of the season. HOLY MOLY was it the right game to attend! nailbiter to the end and so much fun to be in the stadium-the energy was crazy! since I don't ever blog anymore I figured no one really reads this stuff, so I'll just post a fun photo from the game that highlights the BEST.HAT.EVER. this is my 'fashion' post, if you will. thank you, joey pittman, for finding my new favorite accessory. :):) click HERE for the hat, in case you love it as much as I do and want one for yourself.

you're welcome.

before & after.

I have a confession. I am terrible at organizing. I love the idea of being organized and everything in its place, but my follow through is lacking.  my work/family life/etc all suffer though when I'm working in a messy space.  my brain just can't function very well when I've got chaos around me. anyone else have this issue? and hey, it's june. the year is HALFWAY over. seriously???? how did that happen? I'm determined to make this a productive month (and new start) in more ways than just keeping my office tidy, but that is where I'm focusing on in this post.  sharing a before and after photo that I took this monday. if it kills me I'm going to end the month with it looking like the 'after photo' (without the full day cleaning of cleaning to get it that way like the first time).  #junecleanup in full effect over here! :)

hold me accountable, ok?
