clutches in action!

So fun opening my email today! One of the brides I worked with to design her bridesmaid clutches sent me a few photos of them in action from her wedding day this past weekend. I love it!!!
The peach and cobalt blue look so good together and seriously, how cute are her bridesmaids??? I digress...

This is actually a great segue for me to announce that I will be starting a 'real wedding' feature on the blog. Some of the girls that have bought clutches from my shop have been kind enough to send me some thoughts and photos from their big day to share with you all. Yay!

Seriously, I feel so blessed to be working with such amazing ladies. Starting this endeavor I had no idea just how fulfilling it would be for me. I truly enjoy every moment I spend (well, besides one super late night) working with each of the girls. I'm honored that they would choose me to work with and thrilled every time one of them has emailed me after receiving their bags to tell me they are better than expected. :)

Maybe this sounds cheesy but I have honestly (finally) found something I am passionate about. Took me over 31 years to do it, but man, it's a great feeling. Alright...enough of that. :)

Next week I'm excited to feature Sara's real wedding. She was the first recipient of an Oatmeal Lace Design bag. I would post it over the weekend for you lovely readers, but I'll be camping and enjoying live music at Blackwater. So excited!!!!!

go knights! round II.

So the first recipient of the round II edition of collegiate clutches received her bag yesterday. yippee!! That means that I can now post about it on the blog.

In honor of my husband's alma mater, the second clutch is dedicated to the University of Central Florida. Go knights! I decided to have a little fun with this one. It's first recipient, our good friend Amy, had specifically asked for something funky, so her wish was my command. :) Hope you enjoy! Of course, it can be made with a plain black exterior and the fun pattern on the inside if you prefer your flair to be a little more subtle. And of course, it wouldn't right to talk about UCF football without giving a shout-out to the best UCF tailgate: Knight Force One. Behold the glory!

Round III will be live on the blog soon. Anyone want to take a guess what school I'll be featuring??? I'll give you a hint. Their mascot has an alley named after them.

college football and fashion, round I.

Are you ready for some (college) football ????? I'm getting a little tingle in my tummy thinking of what fall brings. The past couple of years I have not made it to as many games as I would've liked, but the ladies always plan at least one weekend during the season to make the trek up (or down) to Tallahassee and witness our Seminoles in all their glory (ahem- they ARE glorious whether winning or losing)!

To commemorate college football in the South, I am going to be offering a line of clutches that show off our school spirit. First up (and my personal favorite, duh) is a little number showcasing what else: garnet and gold. She comes with 2 detachable floral pins, so you can wear both on the bag or one on your shirt/hat/bikini top- whatever your fancy. Yay for GAMEDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!you like that vintage FSU t-shirt, don't ya?

I'll leave you with a couple images around the web that make me a happy little lady and get me FIRED UP for fall football!

Can't forget Bobby- we'll miss you! credit.

And lastly, a fine photo taken by this amazing duo on our wedding day in front of Westcott Fountain. LOVE.

Want a clutch in your school's colors? Comment on the post with what you think round 2 should hold. Maybe I'll even offer up a little pre-season discount! :)

biggie blooms.

So messing around today I came up with a big bloom that I may start offering in the shop. This one incorporates ivory and gold silk, along with a layer of tulle, pearl beads and a white cotton blend. Attached pin on the back so you can use it on a bag or outfit- whatever you like. :)

Thoughts?
